Welcome to GEOS 116 Marine Geoscience (2 cp). This unit will provide a sound basis for further study in Marine Science and a coverage that will be relevant for anyone with interests in the natural sciences. The unit will provide a broad coverage of marine geosciences and focus particularly on the large scale and long term aspects of marine sciences that are underpinned by geoscience research. The teaching-team hopes that you will find both the unit material and the way in which it is presented enjoyable and exciting and that the unit will encourage you to maintain a lifelong interest in the science of the marine environment. |
